I write variously on sexuality, non-monogamy, queer issues, anti-capitalism, feminism and more.
Regular writing
I’m part of the team at Lesbilicious, a UK-based queer women’s news and lifestyle site. I write around once a month, generally opinion pieces on current affairs, and am especially proud of this piece on the Bisexuality Report and this piece on one of the recent obscene pornography trials.
I’ve also recently joined the blogging team that forms part of the queer feminist burlesque collective, Lashings Of Ginger Beer Time. I write occasionally, under my stage name.
Polytical
In my capacity as a writer and community organiser, I am one of the trustees of Polytical.org, a UK-based e-zine and registered charity working to provide resources and information on ethical non-monogamy.
I write features as myself, available here: http://polytical.org/author/ludi/
Notable articles include this one on mono-normativity and this one on non-monogamy in the Millennium trilogy.
[spoiler alert!] As the fictional columnist Polly, I also write a twice-monthly poly advice column, available here: http://polytical.org/author/polly/
Notable posts include this one on starting out as a secondary, this one on coming out, and this one on dealing with a partner’s jealousy.
One-off posts
In March 2012, I guest posted on The F Word, the UK’s largest online feminist magazine, writing (lightly) about the problems with an intercourse-focused, performance-based model of sexuality.
In 2011, I wrote for the Onscenity Network on sexuality, capitalism and the anti-cuts movement. The post was later published in a special issue of the Journal of Psychology and Sexuality.
I wrote a personal article for the Spring 2012 issue of Bi Women magazine, on coming out and activism. (pdf)
I’d love to write more guest posts! Get in touch via insiliconevalley at gmail.
